About

On Borrowed Time

Working with Marjorie Kellogg and George C was a hoot. George and I had a terrible moment one night after Nathan Lane fell out of a tree. Conrad Bain and Bette Henritze as well as the lovely Teresa Wright were real gems. Teresa gave me a signed copy of "Our Town" which I cherish.

The New York Times
October 20,1991
"But the biggest threat to Gramps's authority is posed by the dapper gentleman in the gray suit and gloves (Nathan Lane) who shows up, as discreetly as a mortician at a bankers funeral, and indicates, shortly after the family battle lines have been drawn, that it's the old man's time to go "where the woodbine twineth.""
