About This Project

Layla and the Majnun was a very exciting first project with Artistic Director and Choreographer Paul Vasterling. For this production, I collaborated with the late Travis Halsey, a remarkable costume artisan based in Chicago, who digitally printed the fabrics. Travis paid me a visit to share his beautiful samples in person—his craftsmanship and creative spirit were truly inspiring. It was an honor to work with him, and his presence in our field is sorely missed.
