About
After the Rain
One of my favorites of Wheeldon's. Rain and blue grey for the first movement and sex on the beach for the second. The men originally had ripstop pants but we changed to tights the night before it premiered. This is in the rep of New York City Ballet and the Australian Ballet and the pas de deux is in San Francisco Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Christopher made the pas de deux for Wendy Whelan and Jock Soto on the eve of Jock's retirement.
