About This Project

Very pretty green and blue silk georgette shirts and dresses. Maggie (Margaret Tracey) was in this with her boyfriend at the time Ethan Stieffel. We were all good friends and Peter had created a lovely ballet. He liked these costumes so much that he used them for his Viva Verdi ballet for Spoleto in Italy. Debra Jowett wrote in the Village Voice, "You'd think Holly Hynes would come up with a fabric that didn't show the men's sweat" I never put men in silk chiffon ever again. She was my teacher, when I was a visiting student, during college, on New York Term in 1977. We are still friends. This ballet was in the very first set of Diamond Projects.
