About This Project

This was a challenging project because I had to try to design something that reflected the neo-classical Balanchine look of leotard and tights, yet give it its own distinctive look. When this was done at the School of American Ballet Workshop, it was in black. But, I felt that I lost the principal when she was with the black corps. This time around, I wanted to help the audience always know that she was the principal in the movement so she is in gray.
