About

Zenobia pas de Deux

This Pas de Deux is from Rodgers' On Your Toes. I was one of several assistants to Zack Brown when this was revived on Broadway. That is where I first worked with Peter Martins who was supervising Balanchine's choreography because Mr. B was dying in Roosevelt Hospital. This was a fun project because I loved Zack's original design but I had to come up with my own idea. What I came up with was a tummy exposed tutu with a stretch embroidered top. All of the embroidery was done with a stretch stitch over night. Time was tight on this gala performance.
